In case you are not aware, Family Christian is a chain of stores that also provides online shopping. They use money they make to help ministries. They also like to have special deals and share coupons. In fact, right now they have a Buy 1, Get 1 50% off sale (on all music, movies, and books until August 25th, 2016) and are giving away some $25 coupons. Here's my family's recent experience with those deals: For music, there are some good options but not everything you might be looking for. If you search for your favorite artist (a couple of mine are Relient K and TobyMac), you may find a limited selection of their albums. However, Family Christian will have an interesting biography on the artist and a very nice selection of information about whichever product you may look at for you to review before you buy. This information can also be found on other types of products. It comes in very useful and is very well organized. In regards to other products, they do have better selections. For example, if you search for VeggieTales DVDs, you will have several pages to scroll through. And if you search for The Chronicles of Narnia books, there will be several different options for you to choose from that have various prices and features. And if none of these products interest you, there are other options, including apparel, Bibles, church supplies, and so forth. Another feature I really appreciate is how you can apply discounts early. If you want an idea what the cost will be before you complete your transaction, you can enter your coupon code or whatever you may have before ever having to go to the checkout page. Just note that the price listed will not include shipping until you do check out. In case you are the type of person who would be interested, I have information about what my family bought below. If you are not interested, you can skip to the giveaway.

Night Night, Farm is a short but sweet children's book written by Amy Parker and illustrated by Virginia Allyn. It goes across the farm as all the animal families prepare for bedtime.
The book is a rhyming one, so it is fun for parents to read and good for growing baby brains. And in the end, the readers are reminded of where it all begins: with God. The illustrations are fun as well. Of course, being set on the farm, there are lots of animals to discover with your child. Really cute animals I might add. In fact, after my family read it together for the first time, my wife took the book and flipped through it again just to look at all of the cute baby animals in their footie pajamas. The sprawled out foal is perhaps our favorite. In other words, Night Night, Farm is a very enjoyable children's book that my family and I recommend.

Topic: PoliticsTrump is a big supporter of the Constitution, right? He won't let no darn Democrats steal our guns. He will protect the 2nd Amendment from "crooked Hilary!" But what about the 1st Amendment? Does Trump support The Constitution, or his Constitution? "Get him outta here!" Freedom of speech is not endorsed by Donald Trump. If you say something he does not like, then you deserve to be forcefully removed from the premises, beaten, and frozen. (That's the Christian way, right?) Trump does not defend THE Constitution. He defends HIS Constitution. As in, all hail Trump or else! So voters, pick you Constitution. But choose wisely. - James D. McIntosh Jr. P.S. This is by no means an endorsement of Hilary Clinton or the Democratic Party. I do not support any party. I do not support either Clinton or Trump. I will find someone else to vote for. Believe or not, there are other choices that we CAN get into office if we are not too scared to vote for them.
Although not all of us, including myself, have children with special needs, we probably know someone who does or have worked with such people at some point. Through these experiences, we learn how challenging it can be to care for a person with special needs, but also how fantastic such a person can be.
They see the world in such a different and sometimes refreshing way. In their book The Life We Never Expected, British couple Andrew and Rachel Wilson highlight both ends of the spectrum. They acknowledge the difficulties and disappointments of having two autistic children, but also the joys and the lessons learned. This book is a quick and easy read, but by no means shallow. The authors share some fantastic concepts that they support with passages from the Bible and from other people. In fact, the whole structure of the book is based on Psalm 130. These concepts go beyond raising special needs children and touch everyone who may be suffering or struggling with something, and that is exactly what the authors intended. There were several sections that especially spoke to me, but a couple that stuck with me were "Individualitis and the Dung Gate" (Andrew and Rachel have very interesting and often amusing writing styles) and "Daydreaming about Eternity." In the former, Andrew talks about how he and many others suffer from a disease called individualitis. Each of us thinks it's all about "me" when it should be about the Church as a whole. In the latter, Andrew talks about the glories and the changes that will come over the world and his children in the future. I have found similar thoughts to bring great joy to my soul, especially lately after the death of my uncle. So I highly recommend you pick up The Life We Never Expected and read it. There will be something for you in it.
