The Biggest Story is a book written by Kevin DeYoung, who also narrates the audio book and the animated short film. Both of those are very good and, except for the visual aspects, are almost exactly the same.
Let's go back in time and explore the Bible with a narrator who has an interesting way with words, a nice accompanying musical score, and a fascinating visual art presence. That is what is in the CD and the DVD. Now I'll be honest, there are parts of the story that are breezed through or completely skipped over. There are times you will feel rushed or feel like something important is missing. But the main points of the story still come across for the most part. In fact, connections are made through the whole "biggest story" of the Bible that you may have missed before or forgotten. So it serves as a very good introduction for children (who have a short attention span) and a decent reminder for adults. And this is a format made mostly for children, although, as I said before, I find it captivating and somewhat informative myself. So the sexuality is all cut out and so is most of the gruesomeness, but it still gets mildly gruesome at times. So overall, it is a very nice product you not mind at all sitting down and watching or listening to with your child.

In case you are not aware, Family Christian is a chain of stores that also provides online shopping. They use money they make to help ministries. They also like to have special deals and share coupons. In fact, right now they have a Buy 1, Get 1 50% off sale (on all music, movies, and books until August 25th, 2016) and are giving away some $25 coupons. Here's my family's recent experience with those deals: For music, there are some good options but not everything you might be looking for. If you search for your favorite artist (a couple of mine are Relient K and TobyMac), you may find a limited selection of their albums. However, Family Christian will have an interesting biography on the artist and a very nice selection of information about whichever product you may look at for you to review before you buy. This information can also be found on other types of products. It comes in very useful and is very well organized. In regards to other products, they do have better selections. For example, if you search for VeggieTales DVDs, you will have several pages to scroll through. And if you search for The Chronicles of Narnia books, there will be several different options for you to choose from that have various prices and features. And if none of these products interest you, there are other options, including apparel, Bibles, church supplies, and so forth. Another feature I really appreciate is how you can apply discounts early. If you want an idea what the cost will be before you complete your transaction, you can enter your coupon code or whatever you may have before ever having to go to the checkout page. Just note that the price listed will not include shipping until you do check out. In case you are the type of person who would be interested, I have information about what my family bought below. If you are not interested, you can skip to the giveaway.
